Liposuction is the¬†plastic surgery that is most frequently performed around the world and behind an apparent simplicity of execution lurk endless technical nuances and method of execution. The sculptural, aesthetic qualities, sense of proportion and a strong tactile sensitivity are key to a successful run. The care of the postoperative period, and careful selection and preparation of patients are critical in the success of the intervention. Liposuction performed for localized fat in young patients is very effective. If the tissues are lax and issued it may be necessary to drill a dermocutanea resection of tissue suspension (lifting). It is performed under local anesthesia if the areas to be treated are limited but if combined with other re-modeling of the face and body may be necessary to perform general anesthesia. The areas most ‘commonly affected by localized fat and consequently treated are the hips, abdomen, thighs, culottes de cheval, the inside of the knees, the chest region. LipoLaser, UAL (ultrasound assisted liposuction), PAL (power assisted liposuction), RFAL (radio frequency assisted liposuction), tumescent, wet and super wet liposuction are the most common methods of use of this technique.
